Selma L. Beyer Semrow, age 84, passed away early Thursday morning, May 31, 2007, at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Seymour. She was born December 14, 1922 in Luxemberg, the daughter of the late William and Theresa (Gauger) Gruetzmacher. Selma was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Black Creek; a member of the Ladies Aid, the Black Creek Senior Citizens and the Homemakers Club.
She is survived by her daughter, Dorothy (Jim) Lauenstein, Hortonville; her son, Don Beyer, Black Creek; a step-son, Robert Semrow, New London; three grandchildren, Julie (Tim) Schmeltzer and their children, Melissa and Matthew, Appleton; Jeff (Daun) Vick, New London; and Kim (Mark) Hankemeier and their children, Sarah, Christopher, and Jessica, Greenville; also, one brother, Gerhardt Gruetzmacher, Shiocton; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mabel Beyer, Appleton; and Melvin Beyer, Brookfield.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Harold Beyer and Harley Semrow; a son-in-law, Merle Vick; her sisters, Mildred, Melinda and Elsie; and one brother, Harold.
Friends may call at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Black Creek, on Saturday, June 2, 2007, from 8:30 a.m. until the funeral services at 10:30 a.m., with Reverend Steve Schlicht officiating.
