Sharon Mae Blake, age 73, of Black Creek, passed away at her home Wednesday morning, October 10, 2018 with family by her side. She was born on November 20, 1944, daughter of the late Edward “Pat” and Laura (Zocholl) Kettner.
On July 7, 1979, she was united in marriage to Lowell Blake in Black Creek. He preceded her in death on June 13, 2014.
Sharon was a faithful member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Black Creek being active in the Ladies Aid and the church choir.
She had worked at AAL for 25 years prior to being the Village Clerk in Black Creek until her retirement.
Sharon enjoyed watching the Milwaukee Brewers, local baseball teams, and was an avid sports fan. She bowled with Pat’s Rats and several other bowling teams over the years. Playing games with her grandchildren and family was one of her favorite things to do. She was also known to bake you a special treat to take home. Sharon also enjoyed cross stitching, making quilts with her sister, Betty, and craft projects for family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Kristel (fiance Troy Dake); son, Steven (Erin Sturgis); grandchildren: Isaac, Adeline, and Eleanor Blake, Alex Gehring and Chance Dake, and Morgan Sturgis; sister, Betty (Gary) Krull; brothers: Donald (Jane) Kettner and Larry (Ann) Kettner; godchildren: Dennis Krull and Lisa Gorges; many nieces, nephews, and good friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Lee Kettner; and sister, Darlene Kettner; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Louis and Mary Blake; sisters-in-law: Alice (Harvey) Doersch, Eunice Blake, and Irene (Orville) Schilhabel; brother-in-law, Raymond (Rebecca and Birgit) Blake.
Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Sunday, October 14, 2018 from 4 pm to 8 pm. Visitation will continue at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Black Creek, on Monday, October 15, 2018 from 9:30 am until the funeral service at 11 am with Pastor Steve Schlicht officiating. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
