Sharon Thompson, 66, of Seymour passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Theda Clark Hospital. She was born January 13, 1949, daughter of Nellie Elendt and the late Robert Elendt.
On June 25, 1970 she was united in marriage to Judd Thompson in Stevens Point.
Sharon retired from teaching in Shiocton School District after 33 and a half years. She enjoyed fishing, knitting, stitchery, planting trees and gardening.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Judd; son, Matt (Kierstin) Thompson; two grandchildren, Alexis and Liam; her mother Nellie Elendt; one sister, Karen (Robert) Majerus, Dorchester; sister-in-law, Kay (Milton) Olson, Wausau; nephew, Brian (Paula) Olson; nieces, Arica (Matt) Klewer and Jalane (Mike) Sauer.
She is preceded in death by father-in-law and mother-in-law, Roy and Betty Thompson.
To celebrate Sharon's life a graveside service will be held at Elmwood Cemetery, Antigo, on Friday, September 18, 2015 at 10:30 am with Pastor Natalie Kramer-McComb officiating. The celebration will continue with a gathering at Antigo City Park East following the graveside service. Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, is assisting the family with arrangements.
