Sherry Mielke

February 17, 1948 — September 16, 2013

Sherry L. Mielke, age 65, of Black Creek, passed away Monday evening, September 16, 2013 at home. She was born February 17, 1948 daughter of the late Erwin and Irene (Schremp) Keen.

Following high school Sherry attended Fox Valley Technical College and earned an accounting degree before beginning employment at the Outagamie Health Center.

On September 12, 1981she was united in marriage to Richard Mielke. Sherry and Richard farmed in the town of Maine until retiring in 2003 and later worked at the Oneida Health Center.

Sherry enjoyed crocheting, playing piano, trips to the casinos, and singing karaoke with her friend Bonnie.

She is survived by her husband, Richard; children: Joseph (Nancy) Richlen, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; William (Rhonda) Richlen, Green Bay; Christina (Jeremy) Neal, Black Creek; grandchildren: Melissa and Matthew Richlen, Alyssa (John) VandenHeuvel, Connor, Braedon and Emma Richlen; Bethany Froehlich, Breanna Stanelle, Daniel and Candelara Neal.

Further survived by sisters: Marilyn (Thomas) Merkes, Appleton; and Nancy (Gary) Kleczewski, Neenah; Mary (Robert) Summers, Wrightstown; brothers: Jim (Janeen) Keen, Green Bay; and Gary (Sue) Keen, Appleton; sister-in-law Debra Mielke, California; brothers-in-law: John Vogt, Appleton; Chris Mielke, California; Gene Mielke, Nichols; and her dog Tinkerbell. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Dawn Michelle Richlen, and sister Paula Vogt.

Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour on Saturday, September 21, 2013 from 2:30 pm until services at 6 pm with Pastor Bernard Fergusson officiating. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
