Shirley LaRue

Shirley Ann LaRue, age 83, of Oshkosh, passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Shirley was born on March 4, 1940 to James and Edna (Pues) Dingeldein.

Never one to back down from a challenge, Shirley lived fiercely and she loved fiercely. Especially her grandchildren and great grandchild. She made sure to never miss important moments in their lives regardless of the time or distance. Shirley was never without her beloved springer spaniel and if she couldn't bring her dog somewhere, she wasn't going.

Shirley truly enjoyed the simple things in life focusing much of her time and energy on her hostas, books, and puzzles... LOTS of puzzles.

She is survived Duane LaRue, her brother Johnny (Sharon) Dingeldein, her four sons Steve Marciniak, Doug (Kim Kososki) Marciniak, Jeff (Tammy) LaRue, Jason (Luann) LaRue, her seven grandchildren and one great grandchild in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Betty Tischer and Barbara (Howie) VandenElzen.

The family would like to extend a thank you to ProMedica Hospice, The Residence Oshkosh, and the countless other individuals, including Lynn Marciniak, that helped during her cancer treatments.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday November 10, 2023 at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, 358 S. Main Street, Seymour WI from 2:00pm to 4:00pm, with a time of sharing at 4:00pm. Private interment at a later date.
