Shirley A. Rueden, 89, of Greenville, passed away Thursday morning, May 22, 2014 at Kindred Hearts Assisted Living in Greenville. She was born February 13, 1925, daughter of the late William and Doris (Tackman) Rusch.
Shirley graduated from Shiocton High School and later received her nursing diploma from Fox Valley Technical College.
On March 10, 1945 she was united in marriage to Ervin Rueden. He preceded her in death on November 2, 1968.
She is survived by her children: Nancy (Lon) Hilliker, Navarino; Karen (Ray) Nelson, Appleton; Gary (Midge) Rueden, Appleton; grandchildren: Lesli (James Richter) Nelson Richter, Heather (Ben) Rolfs, Heidi (Jason Miller) Nelson, Tony (Nikki Godin) Rueden, Mindy (Carrie Lydon) Rueden, Russ Rueden, Kate Rueden; great-grandchildren: Quinton and Lyla Richter, Noah Rolfs, and baby Rolfs; sister-in-law, Joanne Meyer; and brother-in-law, Roger (Verona) Rueden.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two infant brothers; in-laws: Cele (Tony) Zitzelsberger, Millie (Norman) Seguin, Agnes (Lloyd) Davis, Eugene Meyer, Marion (Vic) Barlow, and Betty (Max) Bohatschek.
Friends may call at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. with services at 11:00 am. Burial will take place in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery.
