Steven Anderson, age 78, Green Bay, passed away Sunday, August 8, 2021, at Moraine Ridge Reflections in Green Bay. He was born on April 30, 1943, in Black River Falls, to the late Harry and Amelia (Drangstveit) Anderson. Steve was united in marriage to Nancy Heling on June 7, 1969. Nancy preceded Steve in death on April 18, 2016. Steve was a U.S. Army veteran, and he proudly served with the U.S. Army Signal Corps for seven years. He was stationed in South Korea, India, and various regions of the United States.
Steve earned his Bachelor's Degree in engineering from University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, and earned his Master's Degree in Engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering. He later received his Master's Degree in Business Administration from Cardinal Stritch University. Steve was a licensed Professional Engineer. He worked for Wisconsin Public Service for many years until his retirement in 2005. Steve was an instrument-rated private pilot and an avid sailor. He loved flying across the state and sailing on Lake Michigan.
He is survived by two sons: Scott (Katherine) Anderson, Washington, D.C.; Todd (Fionnuala) Anderson, Winchester, England; grandchildren: James, Benjamin, Matthew, and Henry, all of Winchester, England; and Erik and Alexander Anderson, both of Washington, D.C.; siblings: Jeanette (Darryl) Ruprecht, Green Bay, Jill (Dennis) Martin, Milwaukee, Allen "John" Anderson, FL, Jack Anderson, FL, and Bonnie (Jeff) Quandt, Omaha, NE.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sally Wernicke.
Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour on Friday, August 13, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m., Rev. Luther Swenson officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Krause-Kraft-Mueller American Legion Post #106, Seymour. Burial will follow at Elm Lawn Cemetery.
