Terry Rihm

December 23, 1948 — March 9, 2025

Terry Rihm, 76, of Black Creek passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2025 at ThedaCare Medical Center in Appleton. He was the first born to the late Raymond and Veramae (Duhm) Rihm on December 23, 1948.

He graduated from Shiocton High School in 1967, attended Fox Valley Technical College from 1967 to 1969 to become an Agronomist and worked for Chilton Co-Op. In 1969 he was drafted into the US Army and served in Vietnam, returning in 1971. During the war he served in the Signal Corps wiring, operating, and repairing communication radios. Terry was a lifetime member of American Legion Post #106 of Seymour.

Following the war Terry attended Fox Valley Technical College earning degrees in electrical and refrigeration. While attending technical school, he also served as a teacher's aide. After completing his education he began working at the hardware store in Black Creek and learned much more about refrigeration, milking equipment, and bulk tanks.

Terry later began working at the Outagamie Equity Co-Op using the skills he had acquired over the years. Eventually he started his own business, Rihm Electric and Refrigeration. Terry loved music, and in his later years he enjoyed entertaining others with doing "Terryokie", starting his shows with "Are you ready?". He also had a side business selling American made shoes and boots of all types, even trying to sell another pair of boots up until this past Friday.

He was a very patriotic person and had a special place in his heart for the people of Israel. Terry was a kind-hearted soul that loved and cherished all living things and God's creations. His cats were important to him, but most of all he loved his family.

Terry is survived by his siblings: David Rihm, Thomas (Jeannie) Rihm, Peggy (Merlin) Rohm, and Timothy Rihm; 12 nieces and nephews: Kori (Tony) Zawojski, Cassie (Pudge) Schuh, Adam (Jade) Rihm, Kayla (friend, Sal) Rihm, Michael (Sarah) Rihm, Jennifer (Jeremy) Van Dinter, Brian (Janel) Randall, Emma (Adam) Brice, Katie (Dane) Checolinski, Kimberly (Michael) Zelzer, Amber Rihm, and Dallas Rihm; 11 great-nieces and great-nephews: Ty and Natalie Zawojski; Brooke, Jack (fiance, Cayla) and Ted Schuh; Payton and Arianna Van Dinter; Mary and Mathew Checolinski; Madison Zelzer; Aubrey and Jackson Randall, Lainey Brice, and Levi Olderman; other relatives and close friends.
