Theresa Marie Treu, 89, of Appleton passed away Thursday, March 8, 2018 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Appleton. She was born April 18, 1928, a daughter of the late James and Caroline (Simonis) Peskie.
In 1948 she was united in marriage to Frederic Treu. He preceded her in death in 1997. Terry and Frederic worked together for many years on their rental properties.
She enjoyed gardening and growing things, and she loved to fish. Terry will be remembered as an outgoing and accepting person who easily made friends. Most important to Terry was her family, and she was excited to host her annual Christmas party.
Theresa is survived by her sons: Anthony “Tony” (Debbie) Treu and Michael (Mary) Treu; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and one more expected; and son-in-law, Jay Glaesner. She is further survived by her sisters: Ramona, Estelle, Donna, Christine, and Elsie; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Gary Treu; daughter, Vicki Glaesner; grandson, Frederic Michael; sister, Betty; and brother, Eugene.
Friends may call at St. Thomas More Church, 1810 N. McDonald Street, Appleton on Saturday, March 17, 2018, from 9:00 am until the funeral mass at 11:00 am with Father Jim Lucas officiating. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in memory of Theresa.
