Thomas Hawley

Thomas H. Hawley, 78, of Sobieski, passed away Thursday morning, May 9, 2013, at St. Vincent Hospital. He was born January 5, 1935, son of the late John and Lillian (Kurtzien) Hawley.

Tom enjoyed time spent at the cottage in Antigo and fishing with his favorite fishing buddy Jordon. He was in the tavern business in Nichols and active for many years with the Nichols Athletic Association, especially baseball and softball. He was an avid sports fan.

Tom is survived by five children: Sherry (Jody) VandeCorput, Hofa Park; Jeff Hawley, Bloomington, MN; David Hawley, Nichols; Charles Hawley, Navarino; Keith Lehmann, Phoenix, AZ; brother Dale (Karen) Hawley, Mequon; sister Doreen Hawley Newhause, Menasha; a very special friend and companion for the last 22 years, Sue Strebe; Tom and Sue's adopted daughter Kim Wurth and her fiancAC. Peter Hager; Sue's children: daughter Christina (fiancAC. Mike Christensen); sons: Rick (special friend Amber) and Jason (special friend Amanda); grandchildren: Jordon, Wayne, Emma and Megan.

He is preceded in death by his granddaughter Patty Scheelk; sisters: Lois, Dawn, Sue and June; brothers: James, Roger and Jack.
