Thomas John

Thomas "Tom" John, age 86, passed away at home on Monday, July 15, 2024.

Tom was born on January 2, 1938 to the late Lomas and Nellie (Skenandore) John. Tom was united in marriage to Adela Naranjo on June 29, 1963.

He enjoyed the outdoors, feeding local birds, traveling with his wife, and cooking. Tom was in the Pep Band, Nature Club, and was a Bandette at Appleton West High School. After graduating high school in 1956, he went to the University of Wisconsin for Electrical Engineering. Tom was hired by AT&T in Chicago and worked there for 33 years. He was beloved by his friends and family and will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his wife, Adela John; daughter: Melissa (Larry) Bell, sons: Kenneth (Ellen) John, Robert John; siblings: Cora John, Andrew (Lorrie) John, and Myron (Judy) John.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Clara (Harold) Kerwin; brothers: Benjamin John and Ernest John; sister-in-law, Selma John.

Visitation for Tom will take place at Oneida Assembly of God Church, Oneida, on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 from 12 noon until the funeral service at 2:00 pm with Pastor Joel Cornelius officiating. Interment will take place in the church cemetery.
