Thomas A. Lancour, 89 of Seymour passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home. He was born on September 1, 1933 son of the late Rudy and Teresa (Brunner) Lancour.
Tom grew up in Cadott before moving to Kaukauna. He later served in the US Navy from 1952-1955, having sailed on the USS Mellette APA-156, and was a member of Little Chute American Legion Post 258. Tom was also a member of St. John Catholic Church in Seymour.
He married Patricia VanGrinsven and together they raised seven children. She preceded him in death on July 15, 1987. Tom later married Mary Ann Schumacher Leisgang on October 15, 1993.
He enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing, truck driving, woodworking, playing cards, being at the cottage on Beecher Lake, telling jokes, and doing his little jig.
Tom is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; seven children: Daniel (Patricia) Lancour, Krystal Laabs, Cheryl (Jon) Krueger, Russell (Laurie) Lancour, Tony Lancour, Amy (Alan) Osswald, and Kelly (Dave) Genslak; step-children: Patricia (Jim Hicks) Rodgers, John Jr. (Jenny) Leisgang, Michael (Peggy) Leisgang, William (Dawn) Leisgang, Jim (Val) Leisgang, Carol (David) VandeVoort, Peter (Lyn) Leisgang, and Paul (Vicki) Leisgang; 36 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Further survived by a sister, Mary Nordstrom; sister-in-law, Lee Lancour; brothers-in-law: Vince Ferrari and Ed Herreid; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia; grandson, Thomas Lancour; siblings: Gene (Val) Lancour, Della (Bill) Anholzer, Alice Ferrari, Richard Lancour, Rita (Emil) Gosse, Cook (Turk) Haessly, Osa Herreid, and Ronald (Kendal) Lancour; brother-in-law, John Nordstrom.
Visitation will take place at St. John Catholic Church, Seymour on Friday, March 24, 2023 from 2:00 pm until the funeral mass at 4:00 pm with Fr. Sengole Dass and Deacon Rich Matuszak officiating. Military honors will follow at the church.
