Thomas J. Wichman, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and soldier, age 77, of Seymour passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca. He was born September 27, 1936 son of the late John and Helen (Dombrowski) Wichman. On April 8, 1961 he was united in marriage to Joan Johnson.
Tom was a Sergeant in the U.S. Army until his retirement. He was a lifetime member of Seymour American Legion, NAUS and The Masons. He was a lifetime member of the DAV and The Retired Enlisted Association.
Tom was a member of United Methodist Church, Seymour. Most important was time spent with his family and grandchildren. He enjoyed watching T.V. and playing solitaire.
He is survived by his wife Joan; children: Peggy (Greg) Schultz, Seymour; James (Cheryl) Wichman, Menasha; Patricia (Daniel) Hansen, Gillett; grandchildren: Ben (Alicia) Schultz, Abbey (Kyle) Holtz, Kay (fiancAC. Adam) Schultz, Emily (Keith) Schreiner, Noah Wichman, Albert Hansen. Antone Hansen, Nathaniel Hansen; great-grandchildren: Wyatt, Hailey and Henry; siblings: Ronald (Mary) Wichman, Green Bay; Robert Wichman, Green Bay; William (Ann) Wichman, Antioch, IL; Lisa (Wayne) Hansen, Krakow.
Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour on Friday, September 19, 2014 from 4-8 p.m. and visitation will continue at Seymour United Methodist Church on Saturday, September 20, 2014 from 9:30 a.m. until services at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Rebecca Henry officiating with Military Rites to follow at church.
