Tony Van Den Bogart, 58, Oconto, passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 18, 2020, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on March 2, 1962, to Peter and Geraldine (Aerts) Van Den Bogart.
Tony was very well known for being the neighborhood mechanic. He was employed at Penske Truck Leasing for 33 years. He enjoyed deer hunting, camping, snowmobiling, Allis-Chalmers tractors, and spending time with his family and friends. Tony had a love for dogs, especially Marley.
Survivors include his companion, Julie Peotter; children: James (Jessica), Lynne, Michael (Jada), and Anna Van Den Bogart, Jaden (Corey) Grutza, and Kurtis Peotter; 12 grandchildren: Mackenzie, Jazmine, Charissa, Alyssa, Lucas, Josie, Ava, Trenton, Jasper, April, Gus, and Elaine; his mother, Geraldine Van Den Bogart; six brothers: Dan (Vickie), Mark, Bob, Jim (Dorrie), Ron, and Pete Jr.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Tony was preceded in death by his father, Peter Van Den Bogart, Sr.; one brother, Charles Van Den Bogart; and numerous aunts and uncles.
Due to COVID, private family services will take place.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
