Troy Ronald Bodart, 42, of Seymour, WI passed away at home on Thursday April 6, 2023 after a courageous six month battle with cancer.
Troy was born on December 26, 1980. He was united in marriage to his soulmate Amie Good on February 10, 2017 in Key West, Florida.
Troy was a lifelong Union worker and member of the Ironworkers Local 8. Troy prided himself on his work and would often show off his work to his family by saying, "I built that, I built that too". Troy's true passion was being an Ironworker.
Troy enjoyed helping on the farm, camping with friends, drinking old fashioneds on a Friday and most recently helped build their dream home. Other hobbies included snowmobiling, motorcycling, gardening and taking rides with his best dog, Jax.
Troy will be missed greatly by so many of his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Amie; children: Garrett Bodart and Brynnlee Bodart; step-children: Kyle Goke, Carter Goke and Leyton Krueger; parents: Butch and Jackie Bodart, John and Chris Holtz; in-laws: Judi (Richard) Lacosse and John (Beth) Good; siblings: Katie Bodart (Chad Pagel), Chelsea (Josh) Rudnick, Clint (Kayla) Bodart, Heather (Kyle) Bartz, Ashley (Kyle) Kubiak, Caden (Chelsea) Holtz and Landan Holtz; sisters-in-law: Jennifer (Jeff) DesArmo and Nicole (Bryan) Marenger; brother-in-law: John (Lisa) Kositzky; nieces and nephews: Kailey Rottier, Karter Calmes, Natalie Rudnick, Graham Rudnick, Braxton Bodart, Chase Bodart, Haisley Bodart, Kaesyn Bodart, Garrett (Dalton) Griffin, Courtney (Dallas) Wells, Chelsea (Sam) Warning, Bryce DesArmo, Oliver Holtz, Estelle Holtz, Zoe Bartz, and Reagan Kubiak; grandparents: Kay Vandecorput, Barb Makoski, Harland (Linda) Foral, and Gwen Holtz. Troy cherished friendships with so many, including his union brothers.
He is preceded in death by: Jalyn Krueger, Edmund (Viola) Foral, Joseph Makoski, Ronald Bodart, Norbert Vandecorput, and Walter "Bud" Holtz.
Visitation will take place at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Monday, April 10, 2023 from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 from 9:00 am until the funeral service at 11:00 am with Deacon Rich Matuszak officiating. Burial will take place at St. Sebastian Cemetery, Isaar. Please dress casually, as that's what Troy would have done.
