Valda M. Van Erem, 94, of Seymour, passed away Sunday evening, October 7, 2018, at Forest Glen Assisted Living in Seymour. She was born September 16, 1924, daughter of the late Clarence and Maude (Greishammer) Stoehr.
Val had worked at Melody Supper Club (now Legacy), Sears-Roebuck, and Plaza Restaurant.
She loved the Packers and Brewers, Old Fashioneds, and going to dinner at Geno’s.
Val is survived by her children: Steven (Deb) Brugger, Crestview, FL; Lola Rottier, Appleton; Janice (Mike) Van De Yacht, Bonduel; Jerry Brugger, Shawano; Vicky (Terry) Gough, Appleton; and Pamela (Wayne) Meulemans, Black Creek; ten grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sister: Eileen Zuleger; and brother, Clarence “Sonny” Stoehr. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Valda is preceded in death by her son, Bruce Brugger; sisters, Neva (Ken) Zemske, Margorie (Donald) Kitzinger; brother, Vernie (Rosie Hayman) Stoehr; and brother-in-law, Vernie Zuleger.
Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Monday, October 15, 2018 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue St. John Catholic Church, Seymour, on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 from 9:30 am until the funeral mass at 11 am with Fr. Brian Belongia and Deacon Rich Matuszak officiating. Burial will take place in Sugarbush Cemetery.
