Verna D. Marks, age 90, passed away Friday morning, July 30, 2010 in Green Bay. She was born March 7, 1920, daughter of the late William and Marie (Hetzel) Wienandt.
On September 3, 1946 she married the late Leonard Marks. The couple moved to the Seymour area in April of 1968. She was a longtime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Verna loved to work in her gardens and flower beds. She enjoyed playing cards and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include her children: Ronna (Lloyd) Schaumberg, Krakow; Dan (Carol) Marks, Seymour; Nancy (Bob) Bunnell, Shiocton; Bill (Pat) Marks, Menasha; Cindy (Steve) Moesch, Bonduel; Colleen (Dave) Thompson, Green Bay; 11 grandchildren: Sandy (special friend Sheila) Schmidt; Brad (Tammy) Schmidt, Craig (Shelly) Schaumberg, Paul (Connie) Marks, Kevin Marks, Scott Marks, Rob Bunnell, Michelle (Kevin) Thorrington, Dawn (Edgar) Esbono, Kari (Vince) Solomon, Steven Jr. (Crystal) Moesch; 20 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Florence Wienandt, Appleton. Verna is also survived by several more family and friends.
She was preceded in death by: two sisters, two brothers and a grandson Lloyd Jr.
Friends may call at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Cicero on Monday, August 2, 2010 from 9 AM until services at 11 AM with Pastor Ty Stoneburner officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
