Vernon J. Dreisow, 80, of Seymour, passed away peacefully Monday morning, January 12, 2015 at his home. He was born May 6, 1934, son of the late Rufus "Boots" and Esther (Hock) Dreisow. On November 22, 1958 he was united in marriage to Genevieve Mueller.
He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour, an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict, and also a member of the Seymour American Legion. Vernon was a truck driver for over 50 years of which 28 of them were with Seymour Transfer. He was very religious and enjoyed reading the bible. He farmed and loved gardening with vegetables and flowers. Vern had a great sense of humor and loved the Green Bay Packers.
Vernon is survived by his wife, Genevieve; daughter, Dawn Lemerond (fiancAC. Scott), Quinney; son, Doyle Dreisow (special friend Jodi), Bowler; grandson, Tyler (Ashley) Dreisow, Cheyenne, WY; granddaughter, Ariana, Green Bay; great-granddaughter, Madalyn; one brother, Glen (Karen) Dreisow, Slinger; one sister, Judy (Larry) Flanagan, Kokomo, IN; brother-in-law, Dennis Mueller, Seymour.
Friends may call at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour on Thursday, January 15, 2015 from 9:30 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. with Pastor Roland Lindeman officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at
