Vernon A. Pautz, age 90, passed away at his home on Monday, May 5, 2008. He was born August 17, 1917 to the late Robert and Hannah (Krause) Pautz. He was united in marriage to Marvelin Pingel on April 9, 1944 in the Town of Cicero. Following marriage, Vernon and Marvelin operated the family farm and enjoyed raising a wide variety of animals including horses, and pigeons that he liked to watch fly around the farm. He also worked at Kuehne's Sales Barn for about 20 years. Vernon was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour.

Survivors include: one son, Gene, Seymour; one daughter and son-in-law, Sharon (Sherri) and Rodney Blom, Green Bay; three grandchildren: Bryan (Melissa) Blom, Seymour; Paul (Bob) Blom, Shakopee, MN; Christopher (Susan) Blom, DePere; six great-grandchildren: Mackenzie, Taylor, Tony, Hannah, Tyler and Simon; one sister, Milda Schroeder, Seymour; two brothers-in-law: Walter Pingel, Shiocton and Don Rohm, Cleveland, OH. He is further survived by several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marvelin; sister, June Rohm; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Arnold Schroeder, Jackie Pingel, Erma and John Rusch and two nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2008 at the Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour from 11 AM until 2 PM. Funeral service and burial will be private. Burial will be in the Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Seymour. Online condolences may be expressed at www.muehlboettcher.com .
