Vernon "Rosie" R. Rozmiarek, age 77, passed away peacefully at home with his loving wife by his side on Saturday, July 29, 2023. He was born on October 4, 1945 son of the late Raymond and Grace (Boerst) Rozmiarek.
Rosie graduated from Pulaski High School in 1963, and continued his education at the University of WI at Oshkosh. He was an accomplished basketball and baseball player at Pulaski High School, having been named MVP of the baseball team. He continued playing in various baseball and fastpitch softball leagues, which included several traveling teams. At age 48 he was still playing baseball and softball. He was also a coach for the Seymour High School girls softball team for many years.
On December 29, 1986 he was united in marriage to Susan Zimmer in Black Creek. The couple celebrated 36 years of marriage.
He worked for an electrical Company in Oshkosh before working for Stiegler Electric in Green Bay where he was a Journeyman Electrician. Rosie earned is Master Electrician license and started his own electrical business, Rozmiarek Electric, in 1971 and continued serving his clients until his retirement in 1995.
Rosie is survived by his wife, Sue; aunt, Faye Swiecichowski; sister-in-law, Judy (Glenn) Leege; cousins, nieces, and nephews, and the Town Hall Road "family".
He was preceded in death by his parents, uncle, Clarence Swiecichowski; and members of the Zimmer family.
Visitation will take place at St. Mary Catholic Church, Black Creek, on Thursday, August 3, 2023 from 9:30 am until the funeral mass at 11:00 am with Fr David Greskowiak officing. Entombment will take place at Sacred Heart Mausoleum in Shawano. Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, is assisting the family with arrangements.
