Virginia H. Ciesielczyk, 86, of Seymour, passed away Monday, November 17, 2014 at St. Vincent's Hospital with her family at her side. She was born May 26, 1928, daughter of the late Edward and Elizabeth (Zepnick) Hackl.
On August 30, 1947 she was united in marriage to Edward Ciesielczyk at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, Isaar celebrating 52 years of marriage. He preceded her in death February 1, 2000. Virginia and Edward dairy farmed together for many years, enjoying life on the farm while raising their family.
Virginia was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Hofa Park and was a member of the Holy Rosary Society.
She was an avid vegetable and flower gardener that enjoyed the outdoors and found enjoyment in every season of the year. Virginia always made sure her bird feeders were full so she could enjoy the birds. Playing cards and listening to polkas were some of her favorite pastimes. Virginia was a wonderful cook and baker, bringing her family together during holidays for family dinners. Most of all, she loved all of the times she shared with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her children: Helen (Duane) Moore, Oshkosh; Jerome (Barbara) Ciesielczyk, Shawano; Elizabeth Vieau, Green Bay; Jane (Larry) Skinkis, Black Creek; Robert (Barbara) Ciesielczyk, Seymour; James (Renee) Ciesielczyk, Oak Creek; and Lynn (Chet) Kizewski, Wisconsin Rapids; 23 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; siblings: Lucille VanLannen, Seymour; Norbert Hackl, De Pere; Kathleen (Richard Duke) Kahnt, Florida; Gerald Hackl, De Pere.
In addition to her parents and husband, Virginia was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Laura Skinkis; son-in-law, Ronald Vieau; sister, Dorothy (Elmer) VanGheem; sister-in-law, Rose (Martin) Sobiesczyk; infant brother-in-law, Raymond Ciesielczyk.
Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour on Friday, November 21, 2014 from 4-8 pm with a prayer service at 7 pm. Visitation will continue at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Hofa Park, on Saturday, November 22, 2014 from 9:00 am until the funeral mass at 10:30 am with Fr. Jim Esser, OFM, officiating.
