Virginia E. (Swiecichowski) Elsen joined her husband in heaven on December 11, 2024 celebrating her 95th birthday with both her earthly and heavenly family. Virginia was born on December 11, 1929 in Seymour, WI to the late John and Helen (Hackl) Swiecichowski. On January 21, 1950, she was united in marriage to Joseph J. Elsen at St. John's Catholic Church in Seymour. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends. Joe preceded her in death on November 16, 2000.
Virginia was a member and usher at St. John's Catholic Church in Seymour. She volunteered at the Seymour Food Pantry and loved bringing treats for the children. She was a member and acted as a council member for the Seymour Senior Citizens group. She enjoyed her weekly Sheepshead card games with wonderful friends and family. After raising 5 children, she was employed in the deli at Don's Quality Market for 19 years and was the manager for a portion of that time retiring in 2000.
To many people, Virginia will be remembered for her love of cooking, baking and canning. If you asked her for her recipes, she usually couldn't share them with you.
