Wayne Peebles, age 84, of Green Bay died peacefully with his wife and family by his side on Tuesday, June 11, 2024.
Wayne was born on July 27, 1939 in Navarino,WI to the late Lyle and Marie (Luckjohn) Peebles.
Wayne retired from Fort Howard after 31 years of employment. After his retirement he drove for various companies throughout Wisconsin. Wayne enjoyed golfing, traveling, woodworking and six months of winter sun in Arizona. He loved the Packers, Brewers, Johnny Cash and ice cream.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 40 years, Teresa Peebles; children: Shelley (Ron) Berndt, Alan (Colleen) Peebles, Cindy (Jim) Peebles, Corrine (Bill) DeNeve; ten grandchildren: Robert (Cari), Rodney, Ryan, Kayla (Tyler), Danielle, Zachary, Christine (Chris), Courtney (John), Brandon (Michelle), Cassandra (Victor); fourteen great-grandkids: Rowen, Landen, Lakelynn, Lexi, Drew, Riley, Garrett, Britta, Odin, Cameron, Asher, Damien, Parker and Jed; sister, Carole Lane; brother, Dennis (Terri) Peebles; in-laws Janice (Jerry) Kehoe, Glenn (Brenda) Steinhorst, Bill (Janice) Steinhorst, Jerome Steinhorst, Daniel (Laurie) Steinhorst, Tom (Patti) Steinhorst, many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Lyle and Marie Peebles; brother, Larry "Buzz" Peebles; and furry pal Charlie.
The funeral mass for Wayne will be held on Monday June 17, 2024 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1484 9th Street, Green Bay at 11:00 AM with Fr. Patrick Beno officiating. Visitation for Wayne will be held at the church from 9:30 AM until the time of services. Entombment will take place at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd at Nicolet Memorial Gardens in Green Bay. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Dementia Association or Unity Hospice in Wayne's name are appreciated.
