Willie A. Piechocki, 78, of Seymour, passed away, Thursday, October 11, 2018, at Cherry Meadows in Appleton, surrounded by his family. He was born October 2, 1940, son of the late Alfred and Alma (Kuehl) Piechocki.
Willie served in the United States Army, 7 months active duty and 6 years reserved duty, serving in Ft. Jackson, South Carolina and Ft. Campbell, Kentucky.
Willie was united in marriage to Carol Nieland September 12, 1970.
He was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Black Creek.
Willie enjoyed antiques, going to Kary's for breakfast, Amish auctions, and searching for a treasure.
Willie is survived by his wife, Carol; children, David (Lorene) Scheelk; Gary (Cindy) Scheelk; Kathy (Doug) Roffers; Keith (Kristi) Piechocki; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren: Kari (Jason) Infusino and their children Amber, Noah and Kaylee; Kelly & (Craig) Hintz and their daughter Zoey; Erica (Heather) Scheelk; Ryan (Katie) Scheelk and their daughter Audrey; Mandy (Luke) Farrell and their children Stella and Henry; Missy (Bryan) Lacy and their son Oliver; Kody Roffers; Kaden and Davin Piechocki.
Willie is further survived by sisters, Audrey Menting and Suzy (Jay) Avalos and brother, Carl (special friend Pat) Piechocki; sisters-in-law, Barb (special friend Bob Terher) Baumgartner; Shirley (special friend Dick Gosz) McGlin; brothers-in-law, Robert Nieland and Larry Nieland.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Barbara Buman, sister Greta Valley and sister-in-law, Betty Niespodzany and numerous other family members.
Friends may call at St. John United Church of Christ, Black Creek, on Monday, October 15, 2018 from 9:00 am until services at 11:00 am with Pastor Moira Finley officiating. Burial will take place in Oak Hill Cemetery, Town of Maine.
