BEYER, WILBUR F.

Wilbur F. Beyer, age 93, of Black Creek, passed away Sunday morning November 8, 2009 at his home. He was born February 3, 1916, son of the late William and Katherine (Hilgenberg) Beyer. On September 6, 1941 he was united in marriage to Elmyra Seitz in Black Creek. She preceded him in death on June 12, 2009.

Wilbur was a life long farmer, retiring in 1979. He also had worked part-time at Badger Plug and Stokely Van Camp. He was a volunteer fireman with the Town of Black Creek Fire Department. After his retirement he enjoyed going to auctions and the sales barn. He liked hunting, playing cards and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his children: Ralph (Shirley) Beyer, Black Creek; Larry (Sven) Beyer, Black Creek; Karen Kranzush, New Franken; Jim Beyer, Black Creek; Debbie (Al) Kramer, Black Creek; 17 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; one sister, Clara Rohloff, Appleton; 1 brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Harold (Leola) Seitz, Black Creek.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter Amy; a son-in-law Jerry Kranzush; two brothers: Raymond and Gordon, two sisters: Marguarite (Chester) Herman and Dorothy Beyer as well as two infant siblings.

Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 from 4 PM until 8 PM. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at St. John's United Church of Christ, Black Creek from 10 AM until services at 11 AM with Reverend Don Baumann officiating.
