William Le Capitaine

September 27, 1915 — November 9, 2013

William "Bill" J. Le Capitaine, 98, of Seymour, passed away early Saturday morning November 9, 2013 at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Seymour. He was born September 27, 1915 son of the late William and Anna (Last) Le Capitaine.
Bill was a World War II Army Veteran serving in the Pacific. He was a member of the Black Creek American Legion and served as a Village of Black Creek Trustee for several terms and was a past Village President. Prior to his retirement he was employed with the Seymour School District as a custodian for the Black Creek School. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing cards, fishing and hunting along with visiting with his many friends.
Survivors include his daughter, Mary (Jon) Schaumberg, Seymour; grandchildren: William (Kelly) Schaumberg, De Pere; Nicholas (Jenny) Schaumberg, Larsen; Todd (Keely) Schaumberg, Wrightstown; Adam (Chelsey) Schaumberg, Seymour; eight great-grandchildren: Audrey, Gabrielle, Liam, Evelyn, Isabella, Margaret, Landon and Zoe; a sister -in -law, Marie Veitch, Seymour; a special friend Barbara Kelly, San Francisco.
Preceded in death by his wife Edith (Letha); two sisters, Adeline and Evelyn; three brothers: Charlie, Jack and Jim.
Friends may call at St. John's Catholic Church, Seymour on Saturday, November 16, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. until a Memorial Mass at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Bob Kabat officiating. Burial of his cremains will take place at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Black Creek.
