William "Bill" Van Boxtel Jr., age 75, passed away on Monday, May 23, 2022 at the VA Medical Center in Milwaukee.
Bill was born on February 23, 1947 to the late William Sr. and Rosella (Noe) Van Boxtel.
He was united in marriage to Barbara Brocker on May 11, 1968 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Oneida. She preceded him in death on August 3, 1997.
Bill served in the U.S. Navy from 1965 to 1970, having actively served in Vietnam during the Vietnam War. He was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal , the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. He was a proud Vietnam Veteran.
Bill owned and operated the Runway Bar and Runway Fireworks for many years.
He is survived by his children: Richard (Courtney) Van Boxtel, Vance (Christy) Van Boxtel, Dean (Shauna Redhail) Van Boxtel, and Sarah (James) Fish; 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; siblings: Roger (Carol) Van Boxtel, Judy (Larry) Molina, Nancy (Jim) Kottke, Tom Van Boxtel, Sharon (Jim Hatton) Feldkamp, Mark Van Boxtel, and Carol (Guy Mommaerts) Ambrosius.
Further survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Arlene Davis, Margaret Schroeder, Carl (Debbie) Brocker, Melvin C. Brocker, and Jill Brocker; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Van Boxtel; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Melvin and Angeline Brocker; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Jacob (Kathy) Satterlee, Larry Schroeder, Donna (Carl) Prilepp, Josephine (Fred) Bailey, John Brocker, Barb Brocker, Butch Davis, and Mary Brocker.
Visitation will take place at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 from 1:00 pm until the funeral service at 4:00 pm with Deacon Bobby Doxtator officiating. Burial will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Oneida at 10:00 am on Thursday June 2, 2022
