Winifred "Winnie" Kluge, age 86, passed away Monday morning, August 20, 2007 at Meadow Wood Apartments in Seymour. She was born August 3, 1921 in Appleton, the daughter of the late Gustave and Emma (Koepsel) Knoll. She was united in marriage to John A. Kluge on December 27, 1946 in Black Creek. He preceded her in death on March 31, 1996. Winnie lived in California during her younger years. She and her husband raised the family on a farm near Black Creek and moved to Seymour to enjoy their retirement. After her husband's death she moved to Appleton, where she resided for several years before moving to Green Bay and presently in Seymour. She enjoyed sewing, reading, shopping outings with friends and family, and she loved children, particularly her great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children: Judith L. (Bill) Smith, St. Charles, IL; Sally M. Enloe, Green Bay; David E. Kluge (special friend, Roxanne Cromheecke), Glenwood Springs, CO; James A. Kluge, Cave Creek, AZ; grandchildren, Michal (Seth) Palatnik, Glencoe, IL; William (Melissa) Smith, Houston, TX; Rachel (Pete) Sills Beavan, Elburn, IL; Sarah (Jon) Robertson, DePere; Allison (David) Dondelinger, Waukesha; great-grandchildren, Emma, Ava, Evan, Samantha, Tyler, Alexander, Jack, David and Madison. She is further survived by her sisters-in-law, Dorothy Knoll, California; Eleanor Knoll, Illinois; Mabel Zuleger, Black Creek; and her brother-in-law, August Kluge, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her two sons, Karl and Donald; two sisters, Violet Hartzheim, Dorothy Meyers; four brothers, Walter, Carlton, Norman and Wilfred Knoll.

Friends may call at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home Chapel, 607 E. Bronson Rd., Seymour, on Wednesday, August 22, 2007 from 5 to 8 p.m. Visitation will continue on Thursday, August 23, 2007 at the Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, 358 S. Main St., Seymour from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral services at 10:30 a.m., with Reverend David Wilkinson officiating. The burial will be at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
